This is to all bloggers (of the main Cryptic): I've had an email from Roy Low, who runs a site in Australia which links to our blogs, as The Australian magazine syndicates the Times Crossword about 5-6 weeks after the UK publication date. It uses an automated search which assumes the subject line will include the crossword number, which I think is fair enough and works 99.9% of the time. Roy's politely asked me to remind everyone to just include the puzzle number in their subject line.
I know we sometimes get it wrong (I've been guilty of that myself a few times), but most of the time it's corrected after the first sharp-eyed commenter pops up! As far as I know, there's only been one instance in the last couple of months where the puzzle number hasn't been included in the Subject line and not corrected subsequently, so I won't name and shame, but just remind everyone that it's important to include the puzzle number in your subject header.
Cheers,
Andy
